Community Update | October 2019
November 15, 2019 Jeff Smith

Here’s how the Venice Beach BID has been working to serve our district in October 2019.

In one of our meetings with LAPD, they recommended a way to help them recover your bike!

It’s called Bike Index and here’s how to use it.

Bike Index is a widely used bike registry that’s fast, secure, and free.
All you have to do is go online at bikeindex.org and do this:

REGISTER YOUR BIKE

  • Enter the make, color, manufacturer, component information, and serial number
  • Note any distinguishing marks such as stickers or tape
  • Upload a picture

REPORT IF MISSING

  • Report a lost or stolen bike immediately
  • Log the location of theft/disappearance
  • Record the police report number

The entire Bike Index community and its partners will be alerted and registered bikes are more likely to be recovered. Register your bike today on bikeindex.org
