Upcoming Events
Last Thursdays Summer Concert Series
The final concert of the 2026 Last Thursdays Summer Concert Series will take place August 27 at the north end of the Venice Boardwalk, just off Dudley Avenue and Ocean Front Walk. Hosted by LA Rec & Parks, Council District 11, the Venice Beach BID and community partners, this free concert series has once again brought neighbors, visitors, and local businesses together through live music.
Over the past three months, the series has featured an exciting mix of local bands and emerging artists. Concertgoers enjoyed performances by Silverfish and The Brobots in May, School of Rock, The Slurkeys and JAGG in June, followed by School of Rock and Blvd of Eyes in July. Each event transformed the boardwalk into a vibrant gathering space where music and community came together.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the series has been creating opportunities for the next generation of musicians. School of Rock students have delivered outstanding opening sets, while newer local bands have had the chance to share their music with the Venice community.
Join us on August 27 as we celebrate another memorable summer of music, community, and the local artists who help make Venice unique.

Venice Street Fair
The next Venice Street Fair will be held on August 9. The event takes place on 3rd Avenue between Rose Avenue and Sunset Avenue every 2nd Sunday of the month from 9:30 A.M. to 5 P.M. The event is free and dog friendly with plenty of handmade goods, art, food and live music to enjoy. We hope to see you there!
Venice PARC: The Pollinator & Resilience Corridor
This quarter, the Venice Pollinator & Resilience Corridor (PARC) was featured in the California Native Plant Society’s Flora magazine as part of a photo essay highlighting the work of the Verdant Venice Group and the collaboration between residents and community partners working to bring more native plants and trees to Venice.
While planting season will not return until later this year, caring for what has already been planted remains just as important. Throughout the quarter, our team continued maintaining PARC’s tree wells and gardens through regular watering, pruning, stake replacements and tree tie adjustments to support the health and growth of young trees. The team also replaced a young tree along Hampton Drive that had been badly damaged.
From planting to long-term care, PARC continues to demonstrate what can be accomplished through community collaboration and shared commitment to creating a greener, more resilient Venice.
