Community Update | September 2019
October 17, 2019 Jeff Smith

Here’s how the Venice Beach BID has been working to serve our district in September 2019.

Our Graffiti Abatement Program is Really Working!

September numbers reflect a reduction in tagging.

This month our Clean Team reports that roll up doors along Ocean Front Walk are currently not being targeted due to the team’s diligent daily graffiti removal. They are eliminating graffiti so quickly that taggers have lost the incentive to continue. Now that’s a happy outcome!

BID District Members Send Encouraging Notes.

Dear Venice Beach BID –

Living near the beach, my wife and I view firsthand many of the very hardworking BID team members. Most are very friendly and extremely hardworking for which we are very thankful.  However, we would like to specifically recognize Nick for his tireless efforts to keep Speedway and Wavecrest Ave. clean and safe, as well as power washed on a regular basis. I know it’s a big team effort, but Nick is an all-star.

Thanks for everything,

–Mike and Charley Swan

I wanted to say thanks and let you know that the BID guys, especially the Safe Team, are doing a great job. Without the Safe Team our neighborhood would be even less safe. Thank you!

–Travis Binen
