Quarterly Recap: Celebrating the Remarkable Work of Our Clean and Safe Teams!

On April 6th, our Safe Team encountered an alarming situation when a 10-year-old child approached them near Muscle Beach, reporting that he had become separated from his mother. Acting swiftly, our team sprang into action to locate and reunite him with his mother. The grateful mother and child expressed their heartfelt thanks, emphasizing the invaluable role our Safe Team plays in our community.

Our Safe Team maintains a close collaboration with the LAPD, ensuring timely information exchange regarding suspicious activities and facilitating connections between crime victims and the relevant authorities within the Venice Beach BID. Recently, our team participated in the LAPD Beach Patrol Summer Training session at Dockweiler Youth Center. During the session, we engaged with the additional LAPD officers that will be patrolling the beach area, providing them with insights into the essential work carried out by the Venice Beach BID and highlighting the crucial partnership between LAPD and the BID.

Each day, our dedicated Clean Team members labor tirelessly to ensure our community remains free from debris, illegal dumps, graffiti, and other forms of waste. Moreover, they diligently uphold the beautification initiatives established by both city authorities and community partners. Whether it’s watering the community planters, conducting weed abatement along our sidewalks, or pressure washing our Clean Team’s commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment is truly commendable. Their dedication significantly enhances the aesthetic appeal and overall quality of life in our district, reinforcing our collective efforts to create a vibrant and welcoming community for all.

Did you know that our Clean Team is composed of Chrysalis clients that are looking to take the next steps in their careers? Most of our team members are actively looking for their next job and we would love for them to continue to work in Venice Beach. Please reach out to Chrysalis at www.changelives.org if you are hiring.
